I have rarely stood still in my life's journey. From university to the Royal Navy and back again, I travelled a little before I was ordained. Even then, I did not stop: from parish to Diocese and on into priesthood, the adventure continues apace.
At the heart of it all, is the constant love of God. Whilst my understanding of God, self, and the world has shifted, God's love has not. This is the eternal rootedness that enables my journey to continue in faith, with hope, and expecting joy.
Spiritual Direction
I began receiving spiritual direction in 2015, whilst I was training with the Church of Scotland. As I grew to appreciate the transformative, life-giving nature of this ministry, I increasingly wondered about offering it myself.
I completed the 3-year formation course, Encounter, with the London Centre for Spiritual Direction in July 2025. I currently offer one-to-one direction to anyone of any faith or none, and am actively exploring what group spiritual direction I can offer in 2026 for those able to meet in Edinburgh.
When I am not working for a Bishop, or participating in worship, or offering spiritual accompaniment, I enjoy crochet, sewing, gardening and reading. I also spend as much time as possible with my Fuzzy family!
